Independence Day ‘Toli Masters’ in Accra

COME next Monday, March 5, and the Biggies Pub at Accra’s Asylum Down will be set agog as Radio Gold celebrates its eleventh anniversary which coincides with Ghana’s Golden Jubilee.
The Independence Day special edition of the popular Toli Masters, a comedy soiree under the theme, “Peace, love and unity” will have patrons holding their sides with jokes from Toli Masters.
Event organizers say it will be an exciting night as contestants will take turns to imitate all presidents and politicians the country has had since independence whilst repeating some of their most memorable lines.
On stage will be an array of comedy icons such as Wefa K. and Koo Fori of Radio Gold, Sammi B, Funny Face Benson, the Toli Master for 2006, Papa Shamo, Fine Boy, Oba Omega, David Oscar among others.
Passing through will also be Fred Amugi, Fritz Baffour, Jojo Robertson Mills and the famous Efo Kokonsa, the grandson of the great Togbui Wonya from Tekpi in the Volta Region.
Sensational artistes like all time favourite, Rocky Dawumi, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Tic Tac, Samini, Prince Bright of Buk Buk fame, Kow Kese of Abadam and Na Ya Tare fame as well as a live 13-man piece band will deliver splendid performances to make the night a most memorable one.
Patrons will also have a fell of Ghana’s history as there will be live music renditions from the Gold Coast days to the present day Ghana.
Dress code is strictly the wildest old skull of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s like aboski, tu nab u, afro hair do, and the best dressed old skull couple will take home a surprise package.
The Independence Day special edition of Toli Masters is organized by Radio Gold and proudly sponsored by Samodak Company Limited, Masters Fast Foods, T.T. Brothers and Effects Media House.
At 12 midnight, there will be the cutting of a huge Radio Gold birthday cake and popping of champagne to usher in 6th March.
